Hostgator Review- Is Hostgator Worth the Price?

Whatever your reason for wanting to start a website- personal or professional- you will need to have fast, reliable web hosting service with as little downtime as possible. One of, if not the most loved hosting companies by both individuals and small businesses is Hostgator. And this is for good reason- they provide several plans of hosting, their most notable of which is probably their baby package which allows you to host unlimited domains on unlimited disk space and obtain an unlimited amount of bandwidth. Monthly this plan is only $9.95, but you can get a price break by subscribing for two or three years. I personally started with the Baby plan and have not had a need to upgrade any further for my business, but if you do, Hostgator has other plans.

Depending on your experience, this may all sound like Greek to you, but if you know what you're doing then you may think this isn't enough reliability for your website- everyone and their brother can give you unlimited bandwidth, but if you actually host a lot of bandwidth sucking content (such as videos or games) you need your own server. Luckily, Hostgator provides a VPSes, or Virtual Private Servers that allow you to host larger sites, or simply have confidence that your own sites aren't on the same IP as other, possibly malicious sites which will get banned from search engines. Their affordable prices continue with VPS hosting, offering a slew of services, 384 MB of RAM, 10 GB disk space, 250 GB of bandwidth and 2 unique IPs for $19.95 a month. They even often dedicated, physical servers for $174-$319, if you need even more storage, privacy, or reliability.

Hostgator is very supportive, I've personally never had much of a problem (aside from when I was a complete newbie) but whenever I have had a question, it was answered promptly within the same business day. Having worked with other webhosts before, I didn't really think responses could be so fast. I've never used the live chat/phone support though, just email.

No matter what size or type of website you are hosting, Hostgator is sure to have a solution that fits your needs and your budget. I've been very happy with them since I started hosting in July of last year, and it's because of this (and their incredible affiliate program, offering up to $125 per sign up) that I decided to create a blog about the hostgator deals and hostgator promo codes you can find to save you money starting out. Be sure to check back if you're not ready to buy hosting yet, so you can get the best deals as they become available.
